Representative: Sarah Savage
1. Where did you go to college and why did you
choose this school?
I attended Washington University in St. Louis,
majoring in physics and applied mathematics. I chose this school because one of my high school teachers
encouraged me to go to an academically challenging college.
2. Where have you taught? What grade level(s)?
I teach math at Reynolds High School. I have students in grades 9-12.
3. What is your current professional focus (job)?
I am currently a classroom teacher.
4. How and why did you get involved with OCTM?
I was asked to become an Area Rep by the outgoing
Rep. I found that I
enjoyed getting more involved in the math community.
5. What kind of math leadership roles have you
taken in the Oregon Math Community?
This is my first!
6. What are you passionate about (personal or
professional)?
My cats!
And logarithms.
