1. Where did you go to
college and why did you choose this school?
I earned a Bachelor of Science
degree in Wildlife Science from Humboldt State University. I earned a
Master of Science degree in Terrestrial Ecology and my teaching certificate at
Western Washington University.
2. Where have you taught?
What grade level(s)?
I taught fourth grade in
Walla Walla, WA; I presently teach fifth grade at Terrebonne Community School
in the Redmond School District.
3. What is your current
professional focus (job)?
I teach fifth grade, all
subjects I have a strong interest in math and science education.
4. How and why did you
get involved with OCTM?
I learned about OCTM through
a colleague at my school. As an OCTM representative, I hope to contribute
to improved math education networking in Oregon state.
5. What kind of math
leadership roles have you taken in the Oregon Math Community?
I co-facilitate our school's
math action team.
6. What are you
passionate about (personal or professional)?
I love traveling to
experience different cultures and landscapes. There is so much to learn
about our lovely planet.
