Linfield College Bachelor of Arts 1979 and Masters in
Education in 1986. Small homey
feel; generous scholarship; women's cross country team (unusual in 1975)

Knappa 7, 8; Rainier 6-12; Milwaukie High School 9-12; Northwest Regional Math
Specialist K-12
3. What is your current professional focus (job)?
Northwest Regional ESD Math Specialist K-12
4. How and why did you get involved with OCTM?
I got invited to Math Leaders and got recruited for
OCTM Board as a result of that. I
loved being part of a professional group of colleagues.
5. What kind of math leadership roles have you
taken in the Oregon Math Community?
Math Problem Solving scoring guide development; MPS
scoring director; facilitator of Oregon textbook adoption process; OCTM Board
member in a variety of positions; presentations at OML; regional conferences;
item writing for math problem solving and multiple choice (knowledge and
skills) tests; item review panel; worked on the Searchable standards project;
have served on the standards revision panel.
6. What are you passionate about (personal or
professional)?
Learning, enjoying life—my motto in life sums
it up for me both personally and professionally: "A body in motion tends to stay in motion . . ."
7. What one word do you think best describes you?
Lively!
